We’re going to have to think long and hard about what our trip will entail. Which countries should we visit, how long should spend travelling, how basic should we go?
To cut a long story short, even if we save the full £15k it would be irresponsible to spend every last penny on a holiday. To extend our trip I’m considering working whilst abroad, possibly in Australia or Canada, so we could settle down somewhere new for 6 months or more, and follow it up with 6 months of travelling around the world. That would give us a longer trip at no extra expense, although add complications such as working Visas.
